Diatomaceous earth as a perspective raw material for production of foamglass

Abstract. Foam glass is a material with good thermal and sound insulating and incombustible properties, moisture resistance, fire- and biostability and high mechanical strength. The foam glass characterized by homogenous fine porous structure and low rates of water absorption (3–5 % vol.) and thermal conductivity (0,050–0,055 W/m·K) is produced on the technology including the following steps: preparation of diatomaceous earth, glass melting, quenching and glass granules producing, grinding of glass granules and preparation of foam glass batch, batch foaming, producing and annealing of foam glass products. The batch consists of the following components: 64–70 % diatomaceous earth, 14–18 % dolomite, 15–20 % soda ash, 0–5 % sodium sulfate. The temperature of frit foaming is 10–20 °C lower and the duration of foaming is of 10–15 % less than of Fourcault glass. All samples had a homogenous high porous structure with density of 125–135 kg/m3 and compressive strength of 0.7–1.1 MPa. Glass on diatomite base is produced on traditional technology for the first time. The work was released within the contract № 13.G25.31.0092 dated 22.10.2012 «High-technology production of foam glass ceramics on opal-cristobalite raw material base» coded 2010-218-02-246.

Theoretical and experimental investigations of deformations of the steel beams which are reinforced with horizontal tendons

Abstract. This paper describes a method of calculation the flexure of a steel beam, which are reinforced with horizontal prestressed tendons, that depend on loading history. The results of experimental investigations of deformation of steel beams which are reinforced with prestressed horizontal tendons at different levels of the load and the results of the comparison of theoretical and experimental data also presented in the article. Comparison of experimental results and theoretical calculations confirmed the acceptability of the deflections of the proposed method of calculation deformability of the steel beams which are reinforced with horizontal tendons. Based on research can be concluded that the proposed calculation formulas allow calculate the steel beams which are reinforced with prestressed horizontal tendons at different levels of the load for the limit state of the II-nd group (deformability). The proposed technique can be used in the reinforcement of: crane way girder, which are increased requirements for the limit value of deflection limit state of II-nd group, depending the operating mode of bridge cranes; main and secondary beams of steel and composite steel-concrete overlappings and coatings, with a damaged section.

The use of slabs of foam-glass ceramics walling of buildings

Abstract. The results of the calculation of heating of building envelopes for use as a thermal insulation layer slabs of foam glass ceramics. Computation is performed taking into account factor of heat engineering similarity. Unit values of mechanical and physical properties of foam glass ceramic slab materials have been given. Competitive abilities of foam glass ceramic slab materials by contrast to best foreign analogies have been demonstrated. Possibility of steam condensation in rock mass of filler structure depending on structural concept of outer wall has been determined. Necessity of recordkeeping of structural concepts of filler structures in the process of decision of foam glass ceramic slab thickness has been demonstrated. Recommendations for use of foam glass ceramic slabs for different climatic regions have been given. Efficiency factors of foam glass ceramic use into filler structures of buildings as heat-insulating layer has been demonstrated.

Analysis of the structural and operating features at determination of remaining resource of overhead lines

Abstract. The problem of remaining resource of overhead lines (OHL), is considered in the article. The most credible reasons of origin of refuses of work, factors of distributing of these reasons, most often meetings defects of metallic supports, are resulted. The structural and operating features of research object are considered. The row of methods is analysed on determination of reliability of work of constructions, failings are indicated. The order of leadthrough of measures is certain on the increase of reliability of OHL. Conclusions are formulated in relation to perspective directions of development and development of engineering methods of analysis of accident rate, algorithms of calculation of reliability indexes in an electric network, and also perfections of normative base on providing of safety of operating constructions.

Numerical study of the elements of composite wooden beams used in construction of buildings on frame technology

Abstract. Basis of the houses built on wooden-framework technology is the flange beam made in plant terms from the wooden glued squared beam and flag of OSB (oriental strand board). High mechanical durability and stability to external influences (including moistures) allow to use OSB in any sphere of economic activity. Component bars from wood are the special type of constructions, character of work of that qualitatively differs from similar bars from other building materials. Their specific consists in that mechanical connections connecting separate layers are pliable. It brings in substantial features at the calculation of such constructions. The article is sanctified to researches of the tensely-deformed state of component wooden beams with a wall from a ориентировано-стружечной flag (POXES). The structural decision of component beam and results of experimental and numeral researches of her work are presented on-loading.
