On taking into consideration the heterogeneity of concrete properties in the volume of large-sized vertical bar elements
Abstract: Proceeding from the study of the heterogeneity of the properties of concrete in large-sized elements a hypothesis has been made about the distribution of concrete properties within a single layer of the volume. Suggested as well as experimentally substantiated was the minimum size of a prism sawn out from large-sized elements in order to experimentally determine the σ – ε relationship in separate volumes of large-sized concrete elements. On the basis of a number of assumptions an approach to solving the problem of determining quantitative values of strength and strain properties of concrete in the volume of a large-sized element has been proposed.
