Theoretical and experimental investigations of deformations of the steel beams which are reinforced with horizontal tendons
Abstract: This paper describes a method of calculation the flexure of a steel beam, which are reinforced with horizontal prestressed tendons, that depend on loading history. The results of experimental investigations of deformation of steel beams which are reinforced with prestressed horizontal tendons at different levels of the load and the results of the comparison of theoretical and experimental data also presented in the article. Comparison of experimental results and theoretical calculations confirmed the acceptability of the deflections of the proposed method of calculation deformability of the steel beams which are reinforced with horizontal tendons. Based on research can be concluded that the proposed calculation formulas allow calculate the steel beams which are reinforced with prestressed horizontal tendons at different levels of the load for the limit state of the II-nd group (deformability). The proposed technique can be used in the reinforcement of: crane way girder, which are increased requirements for the limit value of deflection limit state of II-nd group, depending the operating mode of bridge cranes; main and secondary beams of steel and composite steel-concrete overlappings and coatings, with a damaged section.
