Investigation of Heat-Resistant Foam Concrete Based on Alumina Cements
Abstract: The paper presents the results of a study of the effect of additives of ground chamotte and technical alumina from the mass of a mixture with alumina and high-alumina cement on the heat-resistant properties of foam concrete P400–P800. The influence of the content of finely ground additives on the physical and mechanical properties of heat-resistant cellular concrete compositions was revealed: strength at normal temperature, after drying and firing at a temperature of 800 °C, average density, mass loss and linear shrinkage of foam concrete. It was found that finely ground chamotte and alumina, reducing the initial strength of foam concrete based on alumina and high alumina cements in an acceptable range, significantly increases its strength after firing at a temperature of 800 °C. Additives of chamotte and alumina to alumina cements reduce shrinkage, reduce the average density and increase the porosity of the binder matrix, which favorably affects the heat-protective properties of light concretes based on them.
