Architectural Renovation of Buildings of Inactive Coal Mining Enterprises in the World Practice
Abstract: The article presents world and domestic experience in the use of architectural renovation of buildings and structures of inactive coal mining enterprises. It analyzes the architectural and planning solutions adopted in the world practice in this issue. Specific examples of using architectural renovation to preserve the historical and cultural value of buildings, in particular – the use of inactive coal mining enterprises as museums of the history of the coal industry. The data obtained are analyzed in the form of a table of common and different measures in the mentioned examples, taking into account their geographical, planning and architectural peculiarities. This table allows us to draw general conclusions about the possibility of a given course of action for the architectural renovation of buildings of inactive coal mining enterprises in the DPR, and also offers recommendations for adapting successful international experience, taking into account the specifics of the region and its cultural peculiarities.
