Comparative analysis of the results of the wind-load calculation of the 250m-high smoke pipe flue
Abstract: The results of efforts calculation in the annular section and axis displacement the 250 m-high reinforced concrete smoke pipe on the windload and structure weight using the engineering methods of ВСН-286-72 and modern program complex “Lira” have been given. Efforts calculation have been carrying out considering the pulsing wind load component according to BNR 2.01.07-84. Bar and spatial calculation models of the flue taking info the account deformed schemes have been considered. Additional efforts at the expense of horizontal displacement of the flue because of the wind influence and the careen foundation are determined by successive approximations method according to DBN 286-72, as well as stepwise iterational method of geometric nonlinear problems, solutions relized in PC “Lira”. Comparative analysis of obtained results has shown, that design bending moments and axis displacements, calculated using engineering methods exceed the values suitable to FEM-method.
