Annotation: The paper has presented the findings of the research conducted in the large wind tunnel TAD-2 NAU of the effect of high-rise buildings on the air pressure distribution at the air pit outputs of the neighbouring low-rise residential buildings. The wind-tunnel testing models of micro-residential blocks have been made at the scales from M 1:100 to M 1:150. The presence of high trees has been also simulated. The wind-tunnel tests have been made at 40 wind directions range in value from 0 to 360 degrees. Efficient structural measures for prevention of negative excess air effect have been researched and offered.
Keywords: wind tunnel, model, air pressure factor, high-rise building, low-rise building, exhaust ventilation.
