Current Status of Regulations for Data Center Design
Abstract: The article analyzes the regulations for design of data centers. It is stated that the regulations of post-soviet countries, pertaining to the construction of this kind of buildings left over from the Soviet Union and has been designed for fundamentally different data centers, to date technologically and morally obsolete. Existing international standards governing design of data centers are advisory in nature and are largely for commercial certification purposes. At the present stage of data centers development the approach to their design requires a rethinking and update of the existing in a post-soviet countries rules and regulations to integrate them with international standards.
