Abstract: The reconstruction of buildings and structures is based on the in-depth study of existing architectural solutions and their functional capabilities. During the study of the evolutionary process of the development of typological features of buildings and structures of medical complexes, the influence of historically established approaches to the design of healthcare facilities on modern architecture becomes evident. Historically, medical architecture has been subjected to changes in accordance with social, cultural and technological challenges of the time. By analysing these transformations, it is possible to identify key aspects that contribute to the creation of functional and comfortable spaces for paediatric patients and medical staff. It is also important to provide for the organic inclusion of new buildings in the already formed urban development, ensuring the harmony of the urban environment. Thus, the development of human-centred architectural solutions, combined with a historical understanding of the context, contributes to the creation of unique and popular medical spaces that meet the requirements of the time and the needs of society. It should be emphasised that such architecture becomes not just a physical shell, but an important tool in shaping the health and well-being of society, inspiring further advances in medical care and child health.
