Abstract: Constant «noise pollution» has become a serious problem for residents of modern cities. This article discusses the problem of reducing noise from external ventilation systems and air conditioners of a leisure center in Donetsk in the adjacent residential area. The main sources of noise HVAC Systems, which are located on the facade and on the roof of the leisure center building and create «noise pollution» in the premises of the nearby Institute of Postgraduate Education building. The most economically feasible way to reduce noise on the way from the source to the settlement points in the residential area is the use of acoustic screens (shelters) and silencers. Based on the acoustic calculation performed for each noise source, a developed design solution for an acoustic shelter is proposed, which will reduce the noise level to standard values. The development and implementation of acoustic shelters in an urban environment can significantly improve the quality of life of residents and reduce the negative impact of noise on health.

Keywords: acoustic shelters, noise mode, HVAC Systems, noise-proof design solutions.
